Hey guys!

Sorry it’s been such a long time since we all wrote a blog…we will get better at updating!!

The last few months have really been taken up with exciting gigs/events such as a gig for Ronan Keating’s Charity ‘The Emerald Ball’ A gig in Milan for Richard Branson who was charming, a couple in Ireland and not forgetting the awesome time we all had in Vegas!! Las Vegas was sooo much fun and a real experience…Luckily we had a few days off to explore and we all saw the most incredible show called ‘Le Reve’. It was similar to Cirque du soleil, but on water..it was magical.

The most recent gig we performed at was last Saturday at The Royal Albert Hall raising money for the children orphans for Haiti, it was a great night and hopefully a lot of money was raised! We also saw Faryl Smith who was performing, Blake, Camilla Kerslake and Paul Potts who finished off a great night!

I then drove to Bath after the concert to spend Easter with my family which was lovely grin

Since the end of February, beginning of March we were all rehearsing furiously in preparation for the Katherine Jenkins tour, which ran for 12 dates in total.

It was a wonderful experience being able to perform with my best friends all around the country on arena stages…a dream come true for any musician.

We decided that we wanted to do something a bit different in the middle of our set…something where people were able to see where we all came from and to show our musical ability. We decided to perform Libertango by Piazzola with a phenomenal guitarist who soon became our friend, Jaal. He was a wonderful musician and we hope to play more acoustic pieces with him in the future.

It really was an exciting experience and one I will never forget!

Katherine’s show was pretty spectacular with a diverse range of performers, dancers and even an acrobat! We were very impressed with how she was game to try anything.

All in all, 2010 has started very well and we hope it will continue to bring us exciting performances and travel. In fact, we are travelling to Beijing and Lisbon in the next couple of months which will be another great experience i’m sure.

Thank you for your continued support and for coming to see us on tour, I hope you enjoyed it! I will update you all very soon, Love Chantal xx

  • Hi. I have a tip for a song that I think would fit you ladies perfectly. It is a song by the norwegian group “VAMP” and is called “Månemannen”. You should hear it out on Youtube and see if you like it. I think you would probably make a fantastic cover version of this song. Here is the link (if it works): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3PbMZx4OJg

  • Dear Ms. Leverton,

My name is John Maxwell, 54 from Chicago, Illinois. I recently saw Escala for the first time on BGT, and I have to say how delightfuly talented I think you and the rest of the ladies are. I purchased your CD, and I have to tell you, that the Adagio cut, especially when I listen with my headphones, the way your group has arrainged the peice, I think it’s the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard in my life. Indeed I have heard this piece in several movies and documentaries, but never in my life has it sounded so amazing…I actually had a tear in my eye after listening… Perhaps your instructors always said to you, “if you play it correctly, thats exactly what it’s supposed to do to you”... May I ask how many takes it took to record Adagio to the point you were satisfied with it? In closing I just wanted to say thank you to you and the other amazingly talented women in Escala, for making me a fan of your music, and classical in general,  and I wish you nothing but wonderful success in the future! Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    John Maxwell
